Album Art, Americana Tuesdays, Etc...

Here's a cool little look at our album art. Came out pretty good, I reckon.

Also, if you haven't heard, the band is taking a break from our long-standing gig hosting Americana Tuesdays at Valentine's. Boo-hoo. Well, we need to make some changes and spread our wings and turn over a new leaf and all that, so we're making an executive decision. I can't say how much I appreciate all the folks who were a part of that series - it was a blast for real. We'll have one more Tuesday in the near future, at which we can all get together for one last weepy chorus.

I couldn't think of a better line-up as a send-off to this longstanding americana revelry than the one we have in store for October 9th. For those of you familiar with the americana genre and the artists who have formed the foundation for modern americana, you're going to be very excited to be on hand for this show.

David Kraai and Amy Laber are Hudson Valley-based musicians who are deeply involved in roots music and americana. David has performed with members of The Band and The Black Crowes, and his latest album features members of Gov't Mule and The Black Crowes. Amy Laber is a songwriter who came to Ulster County from Connecticut to study music therapy. Together the two perform originals and covers including The Carter Family, Neil Young, and Waylon Jennings. They feature mandolin, banjo, and guitars.

Also on hand that night, promoting a new album and a new book, will be Ian Dunlop. A musician and visual artist who performed with Gram Parsons' International Submarine Band, and has since released loads of music and amazing prints, it will be a serious treat to have him at Valentine's.
