February Update

 Dear Friends,



If you've never taken a ride up to Montgomery VT, around the base of Jay Peak, you might want to drop everything and go do that right now. Or, better yet, wait for the full moon and drive up at night. One of the prettiest places I've been.



I recently drove up there under the wolf moon to play for the apres-ski crowd at the Big Jay Tavern. Before the set I had the rabbit, onions, raisins, potatoes - great! I shared the night with Xenia Dunford and Kelly Ravin (Waylon Speed), both outstanding songwriters and musicians - do check out the links. And if you ever find yourself up that way, I highly recommend a visit for some apres-ski or just for dinner.
 


I also played at one of my favorite Vermont rooms, the world famous Radio Bean. The last few times I've played there I've played there on a Sunday night after the tango session. I'm getting used to the mood, it's definitely a good set up for some of my songs. The cafe next door is called Duino Duende. The word duende refers to a special kind of dark soulfulness. I like to think I've got some of that.
